What is performance management
Performance management looks at the present and future of the employee, and what can be done for future performance to meet future goals.

Is it the process of creating work environment or setting in which people are enable to perform to the best of their abilities
What is performance appraisal?
Performance appraisal is often part of performance management, although some companies still rely on performance appraisal alone.
Performance appraisal looks at all past actions of the employee within the set amount of time, and rates how well they performed in their role and how many goals they met.

It is the process that transforms individual knowledge to organisational knowledge.
