Stroke - 3-5%; 0.9-2% major; rest is minor; all of this increases with age;
Renal dysfunction - 7.5% (very small % require dialysis (1-2%)); 20% of dialysis patients die;
Ischemic bowel - 4%
SWI - 5%; DSWI - 2%; Mediastinitis - 1%;
Afib - 30%; if anticoagulants - 1% of bleeding; risk of stroke (depends on the CHADS score - can be as high as 20%)
