A
Collection and analysis of key birth and pregnancy related data eg stillbirth rates, maternal death rates, breast feeding rates, preterm birthrates, reportable complication rates, attendance to ANC rates, uptake of recommended vaccinations rates, admissions to NICU rates, VBAC rates, antenatal waiting times etc, to allow for prevention of adverse outcomes and target areas of improvement.
Well-being of mothers and babies = marker for community wellbeing + reflects effectiveness of healthcare system.
