Receives graphic input, interprets, and executes instructions for display.
What is the purpose of software?
Software provides a set of instructions for hardware.
What does a driver do?
Translates commands from the operating system to the hardware.
What is an ‘OS’
‘OS’ stands for operating system. The ‘OS’ communicates commands from the user to the hardware by managing the software between.
What is firmware?
Firmware is permanent software programmed into read-only memory.
How is firmware upgraded?
Flashing.
