What is agranulocytosis?
A
Agranulocytosis is a decrease in the number of infection-fighting granulocytes in the blood. It may occur in some leukemias or after exposure to certain treatments that are toxic to the bone marrow; e.g., chemotherapeutic agents; clozapine.
