Aum is the symbol which represents Hinduism. It is a common belief that Aum was the first sound of the universe. It also represents the Tri murti and it is a way of preparing yourself to talk to god.
What is the Tri murti
The Tri murti is a very important belief in Hinduism, it contains 3 gods, Brahman the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. There are over 8 million gods which represent parts of either of these gods
What is Brahman
Brahman is the most important god of the Trimurti. He is the creator and he is the most important because without him, there would be no Vishnu the preserver, and there wouldn’t be Shiva, the destroyer.

Christianity: it cleanses the baby when it is born to remember that the baby is starting a new life and to get rid of its sins in the previous life
Islam: it is a way to cleanse yourself from negative thoughts and be prepared to talk to God
Explain the Tao belief system
The Tao system has two types of energies, the feminine energies( dark and negative) and the masculine energies( bright and positive). This belief system is meant to represent harmony. That is why the feminine energies and masculine energies are shown in the Tao system. They are both teardrops.
What is Aum
Aum is from Sanskrit and and it believed that it was the first sound of the universe. It also reminds people of the Tri murti, who are the three main gods in Hinduism. It is also believed that when pronounced correctly, it can stimulate the mind, soul and body so you can prepare yourself to talk to God.
