  • Social anxiety disorders
  • fear of doing something humiliating in front of others
  • onset often during adolescence

A
  • fear of specific objects or situations such as illness disease or death.
  • resistant, irrational, intense fear of particular object or event

What are the four types of Specific Phobias?

A
  • Animal phobia: Spider, Dog, Snakes
  • Natural environment phobias: darkness, storms, heights, water
  • Situation Phobias: enclosed spaces, elevators, flying, dentists, driving, tunnels, bridges
  • Blood Injections, Injury phobias: medical procedures, sight of blood, needles
