What is photosynthesis
The process by which plants use light energy to create glucose from carbon dioxide and water.
Where does photosynthesis happen
In leaves
Why can’t plants photosynthesise at night
At night it is dark and plants need light energy
What is respiration
The process by which all living cells continuously release energy from glucose
Why does heart rate increase when beginning exercise
Muscles will contract more which requires more energy . So they will need more oxygen for more respiration to release more energy
What is metabolism
A word used to describe all the chemical reactions that happen within a cell or organism
When will amino acids be broken down to be used for respiration in animals
When there is a shortage of glucose, glycogen and lipids
