Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration Flashcards
(13 cards)
(Photosynthesis) stages
Light dependent reaction and Light independent reaction.
(Photosynthesis) Reactants of Light dependent
Water, Light
(Photosynthesis) Products of Light dependent
Oxygen
(Photosynthesis) Reactants of Light independent
Carbon dioxide
(Photosynthesis) Products of light independent
Glucose
(Photosynthesis) Products of all
Oxygen and Glucose
(Photosynthesis) Reactants of all
water, light and carbon dioxide.
(Cellular respiration) Stages
Glycolysis, Krebs cycle and Electron transport chain.
(Cellular respiration) Glycolysis
In cytoplasm with no oxygen. From Glucose to Pyruvate. 2 ATP and 2 NADH molecules.
(Cellular respiration) Krebs cycle
Mitochondria with oxygen. from Pyruvate to (by oxidation) carbon dioxide, 2 ATP, 2 FADH, 6 NADH.
(Cellular respiration) Electron transport chain
Mitochondria with oxygen (inner membrane of the mitochondria). Electrons are transfered from NADH and FADH to electrons carriers and they create a proton gradient. Protons power ATP Synthase, and they create ATP.
(Cellular respiration) Reactants
Glucose and oxygen
(Cellular respiration) Products
carbon dioxide, water and ATP energy.
