Native to Ontario and other parts of North America. The white spruce is native to the boreal forests of North America, from central Alaska, east to Newfoundland, south to Montana and east to Maine in the United States. White spruce is the northernmost tree species in North America, reaching as far north as the Mackenzie River delta.
