An initial tartness magically gives way to a mid-palate smoothness as you get to taste those hints of passionfruit you picked up in the aroma. Very refreshing! (2011 GABF Gold Medal Winner.)

Tart cherries greet your noise and an undeniable dark fruit acidity wakes up your palate as soon as you take your first drink. A bit sweeter than other Flanders Red Ales out there, the Duchesse also has a bit more carbonation, giving it an effervescence that compliments the flavors perfectly.
