Whats walsingham
In norfolk england. 30 miles from norwhich
Been a holy place since 1601 when the widow of the lord of the manor in walsingham in which the virgin mary asked her to build a replica of the house in Nazerath where the announcement of the birth of jesus took place

She did and in 1150 a church was built on the site
Became a shrine to which medieval pilgrims would travel from all around the world until 1538 when the reformation resulted in its destruction

Why do people think pilgrimage isnt important
Some christiajs believe that the money spent could be better used helping those in need rather then paying for travel
