  • Growth hormone agonists: replaces human GH and stimulate growth
    - Ex: somatropin (Nutropin, Saizen, Humatrope)
  • Growth hormone antagonists: acts directly on postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the brain to inhibit GH secretion
    - Ex: bromocriptine (Parlodel), octreotide (Sandostatin)
