PLANING MINIMA Flashcards
(11 cards)
No aircraft operated by the company shall commence a flight when:
1 : The weather conditions at the DEST will be below company minima during the period ETA +- 1 hour.
2: An ALTN that meets the company’s alternate aerodrome planning requirements is NOT available.
What shall be done if the weather forecast is below landing minimum - or when no weather information is available?
The flight may be commenced by nominating two destination alternates.
What should you ensure when choosing two destination alternates?
That they are both listed in the OFB prior to departure and that the required fuel is on board.
A take-off is considered to be a low visibility takeoff when the reported RVR is less than :
550 Meters
In addition for an LVTO with an RVR below 150 m but not less than 125 m what should be considered regarding runway lighting ?
1: High intensity runway centre lights spaced 15 m or less apart and high intensity edge lights spaced 60 m or less apart that are in operation.
2: A 90 m visual segment
3: The required RVR value is achieved for all of the relevant RVR reporting points.
What is the minimum visibility and MDH for a circling CAT D aircraft?
MDH: 700 ft
Vis: 3,600 m
What do you add to DA/H and the required RVR/VIS for planning minima when speaking about destination alternate aerodrome - Type B approach?
DA/H + 200 Ft
RVR/VIS + 800m
What do you add to DA/H and the required RVR/VIS for planning minima when speaking about destination alternate aerodrome - Type A approach?
DA/H or MDA/H + 400 ft
RVR/VIS + 1500 m
Same for circling
CityJet Shall only operate with no destination alternate aerodrome when the following two conditions are met :
1: The duration of the flight does not exceed 6 hours or in the event of in-flight re-planning - the remaining flying time to destination does not exceed 4 hours.
2 : Two separate runway are usable + weather 1+- hour of ETA the ceiling is at least 2000ft or the ceiling height 500ft, whichever is greater and ground VIS is at least 5 km
When should you select and specify in the OFP a takeoff alternate?
You should plan for a takeoff alternate If either :
1: The MET conditions are below the applicable landing minima..
2: it would be impossible to return the departure aerodrome for other reasons…
CityJet Shall only select an aerodrome as a Takeoff-Alternate or Destination Aerodrome when ?
1 : When MET conditions indicates that during a period commencing 1 hour before and ending 1 hour after ETA at the aerodrome the weather conditions is AT or ABOVE the applicable landing minima
