Q

What can SLA be used to measure?

A
Leaf thickness (more light usually induces more palisade cell growth for thicker, smaller leaves that lose less moisture through transpiration).
Low light acclimation- adaptations that help with efficient light-harvesting or out-competing others. This is a change in the proportion of chlorophyll to accessory pigments.
