Q

What’s Transpiraton?

A

Stomata open and close to allow exchange of gases, as a result plants lose water.

Q

List me 4 effects of Transpiration rate

A
  1. Temperature – Increase transpiration
  2. Humidity – decrease transpiration
  3. Wind – increase transpiration
  4. Light intensity – increase transpiration

8
Q

How do vascular bundle provide support.

A
  • They form a network in the leaf that supports softer leaf tissue
  • VB is located around the outer edge of stem giving stem with strength to resist bending.
  • VB is found in centre of root, enabling root to act as an anchor.
