where are plastids found ?
pplants cells and euglenoids etc. they are large and is easily observable under microscope
what are leucoplast?
they are colorless and occurs near the nucleus in non - green cells. granum is absent

they are starch starch storing .eg: rice, potato tuber

they are fat storing .eg castor

explain the structure of plastid ?
they are double membrane bound , but the inner membrane is relatively less permeable to substances thus containing more proteins.

stroma is the space enclosed in the inner membrane.
what is thylakoid ?
flat membranous sacs present in the stroma.
what is grana?
thylakoids are arranged in piles called grana
how are grana connected?
grana are connected by a flat membranous tubule called stroma lamella.

what does the stroma contain?
the stroma contains enzyme required for synthesis of carbohydrate and protein. it has a small DsDNA and some ribosomes(70s) for protein synthesis.
