The Theory of the Forms
A
Plato believed that there is a world beyond reality, where we have all lived before, which contains the perfect Form of things in the physical world. Things in the physical world can be mistaken as they can change and are not perfect, unlike the things in the world of Forms which are unchanging. As we all came from the world of forms, every time we think we are learning something new, we are just remembering it from our time in the world of forms.
