Characters are introduced.

Rising action
Complication.
Conflict
What drives the plot. There are five types of conflicts. Person versus person. Prison versus society. Person versus nature. Person versus self. Prison versus technology.
Climax
Climax is the turning point.
Falling action
Events that follows the climax.
Resolution
The conflict is already solve.
Chronological order
In the order that they happen.
Flash back
Stops what is happening and looks at the past.
Foreshadowing
Clues that is what is going to happen.
Metaphor
Is a figure of speech in which one thing is spoken or written of as if it were another.
Idiom
A expression that can’t be understood from the meaning of its separate word but must be learned as a whole.
Simile
A figure of speech that uses like or as to make a comparison.
Analogy
A comparison of two things that are alike in a way but otherwise quite different.
