- Transforms phlegm, clear heat, regulate water passage
- Descends ST qi
On the antero-lateral aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun inferior to the axillary fold and 6 cun superior to Chize LU-5, in the depression between the lateral boarder of the biceps branchii muscle and the shaft of the humerus.
LU-3 天府
Point of the Window of Heaven
- Clear lung heat and descends lung qi
- Cools blood and stops bleeding
- Calms the corporeal soul (po)

LU-4 侠白
Descends Lung qi
Regulates qi and blood in the chest
On the cubital crease of the elbow, in the depression at the radial side of the tendon of biceps brachii.
LU-5 尺泽
He-Sea and Water point of the Lung Channel
- Lcears heat from the lung
- Descends rebellious Qi
- Regulate the water passages,
- Activates the Channel, relaxes the sinews + pain
On the flexor aspect of the forearm, on the line connecting Taiyuan LU-9 with Chize LU-5, 7 cun proximal to Taiyuan LU-9
LU-6 孔最
Xi-Cleft point of the lung channel
- Disseminates and descends lung qi
- Clears heat and moistens the lung
- Clears heat and stops bleeding
- Moderates acute conditions
On the radiao aspect of the foream, approximately 1.5 cun proximal to Yangxi LI -5, in the cleft between the tendons of brachioradialis and abductor pollicis longus.
LU-7 列缺，
Luo-Connecting point of the LU, Conflent point of CV
Gao Wu Command point, Ma Heavenly Star point
- Release the exterior and expels wind
- Promotes the descending function of the Lung
- Pacifies wind and phlegm
- Benefits the head and nape
- Opens and regulates the CV
- Regulates and water passages
- Activates the channel and alleviates pain.
Above the wrist, 1 cun proximal to Taiyun LU-9, on the line connecting Taiyuan LU-9 with Kongzui LU-6, in the depression at the base of the styloid process of the radius and on the radial side of the radial artery.
LU-8 经渠
Jing-River and Metal point of the Lung channel
Descends Lung qi and alleviates cough and wheezing.
At the wrist joint, in the depression between the radial artery and the tendon of abductor pollicis longus, level with Shenmen HE-7 (the proximal boarder of the pisiform bone).
LU-9 太渊
Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source and Earth point of the LU
- Hui-Meeting point of the Vessels
- Tonifies the Lung and transforms phlegm
- Promotes the descending function of the Lung
- Regulates and harmonises the one hundred vessels
- Activates the channel and alleviates pain
On the thenar eminence of the hand, in a depression between the midpoint of the shaft of the first metacarpal bone and the thenar muscles.
LU-10 鱼际
Ying-Spring and Fire point of the Lung Channel
- Benefits the throat
- Clears Lung Heat
- Descends rebellious qi
- Harmonises the Stomach and Heart
On the extensor aspect of the thumb, at the junction of lines drawn along the radial boarder of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail.
LU-11 少商
Jing-Well and Wood point of the Lung channel
Sun Si-miao Ghost Point
- Revives consciousness
- Clears heat and benefits the throat
On the dorsal aspect of the index finger, at the junction of lines drawn along the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approximately 0.1 cun from the corner of the nail.
L.I - 1 商阳
Jing-well and Metal point of the Large Intestine Channel
- Clears heat, reduces swelling and alleviates pain
- Revives consciousness
ON the radial border of the index finger, in a depression just distal to the metalcarpo-phalangeal joint.
L.I- 2 二间
Ying-Spring and Water point of the L.I channel
- Expels wind, clears heat and reduces swelling
- Alleviates Pain
On the radial side of the index finger, in the substanital depression proximal to the head of the second metacarpal bone.
L.I -3 三间
Shu-Stream and Wood point of the L.I channel
- Expels wind and heat
- Clears heat and benefits the throat and teeth
- Dispels fullness and treats diarrhoea
On the dorsum of the hand, between the first and second metacarpal bones, at the midpoint of the scond metacarpal bone and close to its radial boarder
L.I -4 合谷
Yuan-Source point of the LI, Gao Wu command point

- Regualte the defensvie qi and adjusts swelling
- Expels wind and release the exterior
- Reguatles the faces, eyes, nose, mouth and ears
- Activates the channel and alleviates pain
- Induces Labor
- Restores the Yang
