- for resuscitation from sudden loss of consciousness - acupoint translation: mans middle - when yin and yang separate a patient loses consciousness (from a simple to fainting to as serious as coma and death) - according to Chinese cosmology man lies between earth (yin) and heaven (yang) and gv26 establishes that connection between heaven and earth
