Alliteration
when a word or phrase is repeted in a poem.
Repetition
when two or more words use the same vowle sound, but do not rhyme.
Assonance
when two or more words use the same consanent sounds (NON-VOWLE SOUNDS) often at the end of words and the words do not rhyme.
Consonance
the pattern of rhyming in a poem based on the last word in each line and labeled with leters for each rhyming sound.
Rhyme Scheme
A poem which doesnt follow any rules but focuses more on describing a scene or idea.
Free Verse
A poem that tells a story
Narrative
A three-line nature poem with a 5-7-5 syllable pattern. Doesnt rhyme.
Haiku
The way a poem is layed out on the page, the rhyme scheme and rhyme of the poem, along with a set of rules each spasific type of poem must follow.
