A coherent set of beliefs or values that guide one’s actions

A
A proposed or actual strategy aimed at addressing a particular issue or area of gov provision. Policies are often based upon deeply held ideological positions. However, policies may not be ideological if trying to appeal to floating voters

A device by which different political standpoints can be mapped across one axis or more as a way of demonstrating their ideological standpoints in relation to one another
