economic - poverty
P- One economic cause that can lead to terrorism is poverty.

E- Poorer people in less economically developed countries are more likely to have resentment towards the system, and believe they don’t have much remaining to lose. They may view the consequences of terrorism, death and imprisonment, differently to those people who are not living in poverty

example?

A

e- ISIL recruited many poorer people to join them, they convinced thousands of people to to travel to Syria and join their group. Syria was ranked as having the highest levels of unemployment in 2017, with 50% of the population being unemployed. In 2020 the GTI ranked Syria the 4th country most impacted by terrorism, therefore it could be argued there is a link between unemployment/poverty and terrorism.
