A

Oligo/amenorrhea
Androgenic symptoms such as excess hair growth or acne
Polycystic morphology on scan
Normal/high oestrogen levels
Increased androgens
Potentially an underlying cause of insulin resistance

Risks associated

A

Endometrial hyperplasia
Reduced fertility if not ovulating regularly
Higher risk of diabetes and CV disease
Weight gain can worsen symptoms but PCOS doesn’t cause weight gain

A

US showing small peripheral cysts however 20% of non-PCO sufferers also have this and it is common in adolescents even if they don’t have PCOS
