A

Poor diet is a massive factor in causing health issues for people. Poor diet can be linked to many health problems such preventable cancer, diabetes and heart disease. This is further proved by poor diet causing poor health in the most deprived areas of Scotland as there is a clear link between healthy food and wealth.

Q

Example

A

It can clearly be argued that poor diet is a significant cause of health inequalities because obesity is the second largest preventable cause of cancer behind smoking with the Scottish health survey finding in 2021 that 1 in 20 adult cancer cases were linked to individuals being overweight. This means that those who engage in regular unhealthy eating patterns are more likely to suffer from health issues than those who do not.
