A
  • risk of natural disasters
  • extreme climates ~ cannot grow crops
  • lack of freshwater ~ bodies of water freeze
  • landlocked countries (no docks, seas, ports) ~ cannot import or export
  • mountainous land ~ cannot build on
  • fewer jobs ~ less money, less things to do
  • Land -snow or desert ~ cannot grow food ~ no nutrients ~ not self sufficient
