Por - Reason (Noun)

A

To denote the cause or motive of an action. In English, if we use “because”, it’s always “por” in Spanish. Followed by a noun. If the cause for something happening is a noun, we only use “por”

EX: Él se fue de viaje por su cumpleaños. - He went on a trip because of his birthday.

Por que - Reason (Verb)

A

To denote the reason for an action. Here we use “por que” because it’s always followed by a verb.

EX: Yo limpio mi casa por que tengo visitas. - I clean my house because I have visitors.

Para - Indicating Purpose
To do something for the purpose of achieving something else(action). To do this, to do that. **para + verb** with no conjugation (to + verb) EX: Llevo gafas **para** ver mejor. - I wear glasses **to** see better.

Para - Expressing deadlines or time limits
due, by, for, postponed to EX: Necesito el informe **para** mañana - I need the report **by/for** tomorrow

When something is for something else, or when you're giving something EX: Este regalo es **para** ti. - This gift is **for** you.
