It is to CAUSE SOMEONE TO BELIEVE SOMETHING through the consistent effort of convincing.
PERSUADE
An ASSERTION OF THE TRUTH OF SOMETHING
typically one that is disputed or in doubt.
CLAIM
It is a STATEMENT OF REASONS; and facts intended
to support a point of view.
ARGUMENT
It is restricted and BASED ON FACTS
FACTUAL
A SUFFICIENT GROUND OF EXPLANATION OR LOGICAL DEFENSE to explain a fact.
REASON
It is the POINT AT WHICH AN UNSETTLED MATTER is
ready for a decision
ISSUE
An ACTION OR WORDS TO RESIST an attack.
DEFENSE
This is PURPOSELY MADE TO REBUT a previous
claim.
COUNTERCLAIM
An essay that expresses a
position about an issue.
POSITION PAPER
It gives
arguments that support the opinion
of the writer based on the facts
collected.
POSITION PAPER

claim. Argumentation de-emphasizes
appeals to emotion.
