What do positivists believe?
A
That research methods should be objective or scientific. Positivists believe that when they carry out their studies, they are being scientific.

What do interpretivists believe? (Also known as Social Action Theorists)
A
That objectivity/science in sociological research is never possible, nor even desirable. They do not claim to be scentific when doing their research.
