In capitalist societies, it is now media saturated as people engage with a range of different media products - Media plays a significant role in how people identify themselves as people are connected with their devices on a daily basis
- Due to diversity offered by the media, there are no traditional representations of social groups meaning that there is an ‘erosion of identity’
- Boundaries are now blurred between people and there are now no more clear and restrictive roles set surrounding social class gender.
