The PSU is a single line replaceable unit (LRU) and is powered from the 110V dc train supply. This input voltage is converted into ten separate dc outputs for the VOBC EU and peripherals:
2 Tachometers
Data Communications Unit
Local Data Collector
Electronics Unit

Soft Reset

Auto-restart error code is generated causing the software to reboot. VOBC goes through operating states.

Hard Reset

Power is cycled off then on by turning the VOBC power supply off or by pressing the reset button. VOBC goes through operating states.

VOBC Storage Location

Answer 4

Train is stationary in a designated location retention site and the VCC times-out the train due to loss of VOBC comms the train becomes a NCT. However, the VCC remembers that the train is in a designated location retention site. VOBC powers down and the VCC monitors axles entering/leaving the retention site using ACBs.
