- Hot Start: Half the difference between ITT transient and steady state limit
-Hung Start: Time to reach idle exceeds 60 seconds from fuel command
- No Lightoff: ITT not raised significantly 10 seconds from fuel command

PMA (permanent Magnet Alternator) in FMU (Fuel Management Unit) mounted to the engine accessory case

- Thrust levers in TOGA position
What criteria must be met for the ATR to automatically activate?
ATR Armed and one of the following:
-20% Differential N1
-Loss of communication between FADECs
How does ATR provide maximum thrust?
The FADEC commands the FCSOV (ECS)1 and 2 valves closed with the effect that no bleed air will be extracted for the Environmental Control System.
What is the position of the following valves after ATR is activated?
-FCSOV (ECS)1: CLOSED (Commanded by FADEC)
-FCSOV (ECS)2: CLOSED (Commanded by FADEC)
-PRSOV-failed engine: CLOSED
-PRSOV-operative engine: CLOSED (Open if WING/STAB Anti-Ice valves are open)
How many channels in each FADEC?
Two- one active and one standby
What is the function of the active channel?
Actively controls all engine functions
What is the function of the standby channel?
monitors all engine functions and assumes control with failure of active channel
What determines the active FADEC channel?
The active channel alternates between engine cycles
