if pain is elicited when they internally rotate the leg and extend it have them externally rotate the leg, and if pain subsides the test is positive

Windlass Test description
- stand on unaffected’
- stabilize big toe
- shift weight to side being tested
- passively DF toe

Reproduction of the patients pain and or clicking felt in joint space
What is a positive thessalys test?
Reproduction of the patients pain with possible locking and catching
What is a positive apleys test?
Reproduction of pain and sometimes catching/locking
