Q

What substance is often used as a model for studying NADPH?

A

DCPIP is used instead of NADPH

This is because:

  1. it is stable, unlike NADPH, and
  2. it is blue, so the blue&raquo_space;> colourless reaction can be seen, unlike with colourless NADPH

Q

What must you remember to do when finding the concentration of a single substance in a mix of many?

A

> Add all volumes of all substances together to find the total volume, and

Q

What is the theoretical concentration of a substance where A = Ɛ ?

A

Theoretically, this would mean c = 1M.

This can be used to work out the actual concentration.

When A = 1, conc = 1 // Ɛ
