- Refers to the documented proof of death of someone
Death Certificate
- Issued by NDRRMC indicating that the person is believed dead as a result of a disaster based on. Validation and recommendation by the concerned LGU
Certificate of missing person believe to be dead in times of disaster
- Possibility of harm or loss
Risk
- Anything that has the potential to cause harm
Hazard
- Refers to the burial of 2 or more dead bodies/ body parts in an orderly process
Collective Grave
- Indiscriminate burial of 2 or more unidentified bodies/ body parts in the excavated sitte
Mass Grave
- Condition of a place affected by the disaster occured
State of Calamity
- Refers to shallow burial of.2 or more dead bodies/body parts
- “Pending for Identification”
Temporary Burial
- Refers to the removal of dead body from its grave

- Provision of emergency services and public assistance during or immediately after a disaster

- An incident wherein a great number of population are involved and are killed
- Locating, Identifying, and recovering dead deceased body

- Incident overwhelms the available resources
What is Mass Fatality?
- Focuses on the identification of th fatality in the affected area
- Can be overwhelming
- Many agencies are involved to manage the incident occured
- May involve cross jurisdiction
-Is one part of the overall response and it is critical to the success of the operation that appropriate plans and structures are implemented

- Effective Coordination of a disaster response operation can only be assured if a properly functioning command and organizational structure is implemented
