Significance of colour Black on the uniform

A

Black = impervious to darkness. Opposite of white (innocence and beginner).
3cm Black piping = the three kingdoms of ancient Korea: Silla, Baek-je, and Koguryo. Ancient Korean aristocrats wore Black piping.
