Pressure and Weather Questions Flashcards

1
Q

Why do some parts of the Earth’s surface, such as the equator, receive more of the Sun’s heat than other regions?

A

Q

How does a cold front form?

A

A warm air mass moves in the same direction and catches up to a cold air mass. The less dense warm air rises up slowly over the cold air mass to form clouds. Humid, cloudy weather or light rain occurs for several days.
