Stem changing -ir verbs do show some change in the preterite wheras -ar and -er stem changers do not.

Where is the change seen?

A

only in the 3rd singular and 3rd plural

o &raquo_space;> u

example:
pedí pedimos
pediste pedisteis
pidió pidieron
