A
  1. One-time events (I ate a hamburger instead of I used to eat hamburgers), 2. something recent (last night I watched a movie), 3. something that has been completed (The movie ended at 10).

EXCEPTIONS: (2) SER & IR, DAR & VER (still no accents!)

A

Ser & Ir are always conjugated the same, but their meanings are different:

fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron

Dar & Ver have the same endings:

di, vi
diste, viste
dio, vio
dimos, vimos
disteis, visteis
dieron, vieron

NO ACCENTS!!
