S/S: JVD, decreased lung sounds, resistance to ventilations, restless/agitated

Procedure
Midclavicular
Between 2nd and 3rd rib
14g needle
Over 3rd rib and go over top
Pacing
Indications
Pulse rate below 50
Bp below 100
Pacing procedure
Consider sedation 70bpm Start pacing Increase milliamps until capture Ensure mech capture as well Add 10% milliamps

Cardiac tamponade
Hypotension, tachycardia, jvd, narrow pulse pressure, lack of pulse with CPR, muffled heart tones

Angle between the xyphoid and the cartilage of the 7th rib to the left of the xyphoid
Cricothyroidotomy
Location
Cricothyroid membrane
Membrane between thyroid cartilage and cricoid cartilage
