Product Design Interview Prep Flashcards
Tell me about yourself.
aka “Walk me through your resume.”
I received my degree in visual communication, which provided me with a strong foundation in design principles and communicating messages through visual elements.
Early in my career, I had the opportunity to work as a digital designer for Fashion PR firms and an independent women’s magazine. During those years, I honed my skills in creating visually compelling designs for digital platforms such as their social media, email newsletters, and small components of the web like banners.
As I continued my education by taking online courses, I started to learn more about empathy-driven design and product design. So I became very motivated to expand my skill set and delve deeper into the product design process, so I made the transition to product design.
During the past five years, I’ve earned two UX certificates and have been fortunate to work as a product designer, where I’ve experienced a deep sense of fulfillment and joy in creating products with diverse and talented cross-functional teams.

The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of product design excites me, offering opportunities to engage with emerging technologies, understand user needs, and create real-world solutions. The potential to positively impact lives, constant learning and growth, and the collaborative nature of product design drove my decision to pursue this rewarding career.
