S39 = K9 outlines justification for the use of force when carrying out an arrest or executing a warrant.
S40 = 0 = tunnel = trying to escape. provisions justifying the use of force to prevent the avoidance of arrest, or escape or rescue subsequent to arrest.
S41 = 1 = hangman board = prevent suicide. outlines justification for use of force to prevent suicide or commission of certain offences.
S42 = peace sign = 2 = breach of peace. justification to those witnessing a breach of the peace to use force to stop continuance or renewal of that breach.
S48 = save your m8 = self defence. justifies use of force to protect ourselves and others.
S62 =you’re in the poo = excess use of force. anyone authorised by law to use force criminally responsible for any excessive use of force.
