Work is easy to stage ( including blocking and lighting )
Easier for an actor to ‘block out ‘ the audience and perform naturalistically
Large of stage areas allow type of theatre to have large casts, numerous set changes and complex set

In larger theatres the audience can feel separated from the action

To avoid obstructing sightlines items of set in central area need to be low level

Pros : allows interaction and creates atmosphere

Lighting can be issue
Audience will always have back to one part of audience
Staging must be low level and must not obscure audiences vision

Pros:
Can work well when locations suit work presented
Interesting experience for audience

Implications for sound and light
Moving between locations can break tension and lose time
