Aspects of speech that go beyond phonemes and deal with the auditory qualities of sound.
refer to the variations in pitch, rhythm, intonation, and stress that convey meaning and emotion in spoken language.
Prosodic features
It means a temporary stop. In writing, use the slash (/)symbol to represent the pause needed in a sentence.
Pause Juncture
Contributes on how people give meaning to the utterances of the people they speak with.
It is a degree of highness or lowness of a tone.
It means emphasizing a syllable in a word, and/or a word in a
sentence.
Pitch
It can be described as the melody or the variations (rise or fall) of pitch found in whole utterances.
Intonation
the beat you hear you when read a poem aloud. This beat is affected by which syllables are stressed. (‘) and which are unstressed ( ̆).
Rhythm
Evaluate the speaker’s pitch range, including high and low pitches, and how they use pitch to convey emphasis or emotion.

In this Speech delivery, the speaker is given very little time to prepare to speak about a particular topic. Sometimes, the speaker also speaks in the spur moment.
Impromptu Speech
This is also known as ‘’ read speech.’’ the speaker just reads his or her written work word for word in this delivery. This is commonly used for solemn and historic occasions. Manuscript delivery

This kind of speech is good for elocution pieces because the speech is learned and recited word for word.
These speeches do not appear
natural and lacks the spontaneity, that impromptu and extemporaneous speeches may offer.
Memorized speech
Speakers are given ample time to carefully prepare their speeches. A speaker can still rehearse and outline the things He or she wants to focus on in his/her speech. He or she does not have to memorize his/her speech but he or she can use cue cards during the delivery.
Extemporaneous speech
may be short and objective as you can see in dictionaries on the other hand, they could also be longer as you use them in your conversations where you give extended definitions.

One way of defining terms is to state the word’s good, affirmative, or constructive features like its function, material, or shape.
