Can a protimeter be used for other materials?

It gives a wood moisture reading for timber and WME (wood moisture equivalent) reading in other materials. It can therefore give a general relative damp reading across other materials but the actual readings on the scale will correspond to timber only (although the general damp, intermediate and safe will give a general indication of the dampness of the material.
