A

As opposition to the PG grew and opposition to the war grew Kerensky believed a decisive victory would rally support but after some initial success against austria they were badly defeated around 400,000 losses, some mutinied and deserted. Why would things be any different now?

series of demonstrations against the PG, supported by sailors from Kronstadt. Chance that Bols organised these, many chanted ‘peace, land bread’ and ‘all power to the soviets’
No clear leadership from Lenin, Loyal troops dispersed demonstrators, Lenin flee to Finland
Kerensky moved into winter palace.
