What is pseudopancreatic cyst?
Collection of fluid in lesser sac
Why pseudopancreatic cyst is pseudo?
Cause it is surrounded by inflammatory exudates. True cyst is surround by epithelium
Where is pseudo pancreatic cyst ?
Between stomach and pancrease
Etiology of pseudopancreatic cyst?
- Acute pancreatitis (10%) after 2 to 3 weeks
- Pancreatic trauma
- Ulcer in post wall of the stomach
Where is the swelling of pseudopancreatic cyst?
In the epigastrium
Can pseudopancreatic cyst be pulsating ?
Due to aorta (transmitted pulsation)
IOC of pseudopancreatic cyst ?
US
Old: barium meal show forward displacement of the stomach in a lateral view
Complication of pseudopancreatic cyst?
Like any cyst .. infection hge rupture
Do you wanna excise the cyst?
Yes but after 6 weeks
Surgery done to remove the pseudopancreatic cyst?
Cystogastrostomy .. due to the severe adhesions
Can be done endoscopy
