Connects nerves to the central nervous system. Such as limbs organs and skin

In charge of voluntary control such as skeletal muscles

Control over bodily functions such as breathing heartbeat and digestion

Activates fight or flight mode and in charge of last second response
Parasympathetic nervous system
In charge of sexual arousal saliva and urination

Consist of the brain and spinal cord. In charge of most of the body and mind

Composed of the medulla, pins, and the cerebellum. Controls the unconscious control such as breathing and blood flow
Reticular formation
Connecting the spinal cord, cerebrum, and cerebellum. Mediating the overall level of consciousness

Has the colliculi in it. It’s in charge of motor control and movement a of the eye as well as visual and auditory processing
Forebrain
Has the thalamus and hypothalamus. In control of motor control and sensory info

In control of hormones
Ventromedial hypothalamus
Determining hunger fear and sexual activity
Thalamus
Regulation of consciousness sleep and alertness
Basel ganglia
Interconnected with the cortex, thalamus, brainstem. In control of motor movement, learning, cognition, and emotions
Huntington’s
Affects the basal ganglia and affects coordination and mental abilities
Limbic system
In charge of basic emotions and drives
Hippocampus
Region that associates with memory
Septum
In charge of of pleasure and separates the brain
Amygdala
In charge of detecting fear and emergency events
Cortex
In charge of processing auditory function
