Escalator Etiquette
In Japan, most people riding an escalator stand to the left to left people who want to walk on the escalator pass to the right
Subway/Train Etiquette
Subways and Trains are -quiet-. Keep you talking voice low. Also, I’ve heard it’s not uncommon for someone to use your shoulder as a pillow. Pls remember the overwork culture and crowded nature of Japan trains/subways - they just tired and there’s no room.
